A joint venture between Teehoo Investment Company in Singapore and Lakatos Network in Türkiye, Tourex was formed after the founders noticed a gap in the fintech market for foreigners and non-residents visiting Türkiye for tourism. To establish TouristPay Türkiye, Tourex and local partners formed a joint venture under the same brand.

Later, Tourex’s founders identified a few more markets in Türkiye. In Türkiye, KomsuPay is a solution developed by the Tourex team for municipalities and social service providers. With KomsuPay, municipalities can earn a steady income through a new channel. 

By collaborating with diverse local and national chambers of commerce, the team created OdaPay, a new era of business that helps members of a syndicate protect their business together and give them a chance to be united in front of banks and financial players. As long as they are together, they can benefit from being a syndicate and have a chance to negotiate better rates and sell more while paying less fees.
